Had a wonderful time with Mariangela. She offered some great suggestions regarding men's casual clothes, and we were able to assemble an exciting wardrobe for me. Can't wait to meet with her again. Highly recommend her.Oct 24, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I usually charge by the hour, except if the client and I agree on a different rate, i.e full day or full weekend. Students get a discount upon presentation of a valid student ID.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always meet in person with a new client to go through their closet, and discuss their needs and budget. Then we go shopping together; that helps me figure out their size (it's unbelievable how many people buy the wrong size for themselves), what patterns/colors suit their skin complexion, and at the same time I give real time advice to my customers regarding fit/brand/color/material. I don't always concentrate only on clothes; I have a gift picking shoes, jewelry and purses for my customers. I believe that if you have the right shoes/accessories on, even a cheap and boring outfit can pop out and look astonishing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I took history of fashion courses and was trained in luxury outfits. Then I went ahead and studied biology and took a PhD in Neurosciences. It was shocking to me, after attending all these scientific conferences and mingling with highly educated people, to realize that the majority (90%+) had no idea how to dress and present themselves in a professional manner that could potentially help them attract more attention to their science. I understand that successful professionals are busy and have no time, but then, why would anyone need me, right?
