I worked with Wayne on a single of mine and I absolutely loved working with him! He was thorough, kind and encouraging every step of the way. He was also super patient throughout the entire process. He would get the mixes back to me in a timely fashion without rushing the process. He truly puts his whole heart and effort into each song he produces. I loved bouncing ideas back and forth with him. He knew how to ask the right questions to get the song moving in the best direction. He doesn't just settle for what is the latest sound, he creates and produces music that touches the heart, mind and soul. He has a way of taking a song and creating it into a masterpiece. I would HIGHLY recommend him!

Wayne is THAT producer. You know, the one who's a great listener & understands what you want - yet pushy with the potential of where you and your songs COULD go. He's the producer who knows his gear like nobodies business, has a bullpen of talent on speed dial, and yet can still pick up a guitar, bass, drums, and keys and contribute a track or idea at any moment. Wayne's biggest skills are his honesty, his kindness, his spontaneous writing/recording skills, his song structure radar and bringing out the best in you vocally and lyricly.

I was very anxious going into the studio to make my first album, but as soon as we got started, Wayne really made me feel comfortable about the process, and was super patient. He was able to help me be the in control of the direction I wanted the album to go, as well, give thoughtful, creative and relevant ideas that fit in my music perfectly. The process of making the album was really productive and smooth. He embraced my style of music, and brought ideas and nuances from that place. Wayne not only has a keen ear for music, but genuinely cares for the people he works with, professional, and the friendship continues on!

A phone call or email to answer questions and get clear on what the artist, musician, label or manager is looking for. Then I detail a timeline for them based on when they need the work done and we talk expectations and pay schedule. This is all typically done before we meet in person.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Opened a studio in Portland, OR in 2003 to serve the local music scene.
