I recently started working from home, and my new office area was an alcove near my kitchen. The space was limited so I needed help on how to use it properly. I hired Cheryl and Jordan at IT'S ORGANIZED to develop a system and make recommendations on attractive and usable furniture. The desk recommendation they made provided a perfect amount of paper and supply storage, without appearing bulky and overwhelming in the space. They helped me eliminate the paper clutter, by moving a lot to online storage, so it would be easy to keep the area tidy. They added attractive shelves above for both display and to house some of the items I needed on a daily basis. Now the space meets my everyday needs, but doesn't require me hiding all my work materials when company comes over. It serves a dual function, both as my office and any additional place to serve drinks and food when company is over. They were so creative and thoughtful throughout the process, always considering everything we needed to use the space for. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and every step of the process!

called Cheryl and Jordan from IT’S ORGANIZED to help me with designing and organizing all of my closets and my kids closets which were a mess. They came to my home for the consultation, and I found them to be professional, non-judgemental, enthusiastic yet very calming, and incredibly knowledgable about organizing and organizing products! I had interviewed several organizers before them, and they were clearly the best! They were able to design and organize the most amazing closets for me and my kids! Their design was creative, and their organizing solutions were so practical. Even my husband and kids are able to sustain it and keep it organized! Before we had no space for our clothes, and now, not only can we fit all of our clothes, shoes, bags (and my kids costumes), etc. in the closets but we have extra space. I recommend them 110%!!! They are truly miracle workers.

Just finished working with IT'S ORGANIZED to re-design and organize my home office and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Cheryl and Jordan! Working from home can be a challenge and over the years my office completely fell apart. I found myself overwhelmed by the clutter and it was effecting my work. They came to my house for a consult and presented workable solutions within my budget. I was impressed that they took the time to listen and understand business and organizational challenges. After a few meetings they were able to create incredible storage solutions and thoughtful filing systems. My desk is completely clutter free and all my products/samples have a home. They also created an easy system for me to follow as I continue to grow my buisness. I can honestly say their organizational solutions have improved my overall work productivity. I would love to work with them again on future projects in my home such as my kids closets and garage.

We were getting ready to list our home and needed to get it organized for showings. At the recommendation of our broker, we hired the ladies of IT’S ORGANIZED to help us deal with all of the toys and other items that needed ‘homes.’ They came in and accurately assessed what needed to be done and how much time it would take. Working with them was so helpful! We never realized how many multiples we had of certain items, and were able to pare down to what we really needed. They helped us decide what we needed before the move, what to box up for storage and what to donate or sell. At the end our house was in great shape to showcase to potential buyers, and we were now almost halfway packed for our move! Even better was that we knew we were only moving the items we really wanted in our new home. Jordan and Cheryl were so patient throughout the process, helping us not feel overwhelmed- it was such a positive experience- we would recommend it for anyone getting ready to move!

We needed help with our kitchen. The pantry and cabinets were so deep, we could never find what we were looking for, and the mail and school work was getting dumped on the counters. Cheryl and Jordan of IT'S ORGANIZED were able to come in and create a system that worked for both our space and design aesthetics. They had vendors that could retrofit our existing cabinets with sleek, pull outs so we're no longer losing items in the back. They also were able to create a system for the papers in some newly-found space in the cabinets, and used a minimal amount of counter top space to keep the items I wanted "front of mind." The system also took into consideration our décor, and the pieces mesh well with our existing items, while also be functional and accessible. It's been such a positive experience, we're excited to see what systems they develop for other areas of our home that need organizing!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, we offer both hourly rates as well as package rates depending on how much time it will take to complete your project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start off the relationship with a free phone conversation to discuss your area(s) of concern, discuss goals for your space, and answer any questions you may have. We will then meet for an in-person consultation in your home or office to determine the detailed scope of the work, the amount of time we estimate the project to take, and take appropriate measurements of your space. During the consult we ask a host of questions to determine your priorities are and how you live to insure we develop a plan that meets your specific needs. From here you can choose to schedule an organizing session(s) depending on the the number of hours it will take to complete the job. Following completion of the job, we follow up a month later to make sure everything is working for you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Cheryl earned a Masters Degree and completed all Doctoral Degree coursework in Human Development/Organizational Behavior from Columbia University. She has also completed her National Association for Professional Organizers Coursework and has a Coaching Certification. With over 15 years of experience in large Fortune 500 companies, Cheryl worked as a leader of learning, organizational effectiveness, and leading change, where she worked with senior executives and their teams to maximize their effectiveness and performance. She is often invited to guest lecture across the U.S. to share her expertise in organizational behavior concepts. In addition to co-owning IT'S ORGANIZED, Cheryl is an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Behavior and Business Management, and has a professional certification in Coaching. With her vast background in understanding human behaviors, coaching, motivation and teaching methodology, she brings knowledge, experience and understanding to help others realize the benefits of being better organized. She can help you solve problems, overcome obstacles and reach your goals. Jordan earned her B.A. in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. She went on to become a leading publicist in the real estate industry representing companies across the country. For 15 years, she worked closely with some of the nation's premier real estate professionals including top architects, developers, designers and space planners providing her with a first-hand understanding of how to best utilize all types of residential and commercial spaces.
