I am so very fortunate in discovering Jason as he is my son’s piano and guitar teacher as well a mentor. Through his extensive knowledge as a Berklee honors graduate, professional experiences and exceptional talent, my son has truly blossomed as a self-confident and creative musician with a solid foundation in theory, technique, improvisation and musicianship. Jason is continually challenging and encouraging him with technical details/dynamics but most importantly to play always with a complete understanding of story and emotion that every piece of classical, jazz or pop music emanates. My rates listed are for lessons at my studio. Please contact me for in home lesson pricing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When starting with a new customer I like to go over their musical background and observe their current level. Next I discuss their goals and make a plan to achieve them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started studying the piano at age 7, playing in several bands and the high school jazz band. I went on to study jazz piano at Berklee College of Music graduating with a degree in Film Scoring.
