I started piano lessons in the fourth grade with Ms. Leiferman. For the next seven years, Piano became one of my favorite times of the week. I would look forward to having my weekly lesson and showing Ms. Leiferman the skills I had adquired after a week of practice. Ms. Leiferman made learning piano incredibly fun! The best thing about Ms. Leiferman is that you can see how much she cares about her students. As a senior in high school, I had to make the sad choice to leave piano because of other commitments. I miss going to piano and miss seeing Ms. Leiferman every week. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I recommend that everyone if they are considering taking lessons to go to Ms. Leiferman.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Barbara for about 7 months. Barbara is a great teacher. She instructs on piano theory in addition to playing, which gives my daughter a well-rounded understanding of music. Barbara has a great style with kids, she makes it fun and engaging, and challenges them in an appropriate way to help them grow. She also involves them in picking out recital songs which makes performing fun, and takes the time to teach them how to play in front of an audience which helps to build confidence. My daughter's level of piano playing has continuously improved with each lesson and, even more importantly, Barbara has nurtured my daughters love of piano and music.

Barbara provides piano lessons for my seven year old little boy. She understands the balance of making piano fun while pushing students to greater achievement. She encourages a love of piano by helping children find songs that not only challenges their skill level but also peaks their interest. My son loved playing Star Wars at her recital!
