    They Replaced bad silicone and replaced and sealed exposed nails on small area on fireplace. Even though it was confined to a small area, they walked the entire roof with no extra charge. They were fast friendly and more than reasonable on their price

    I live in an area with notorious wind. On Tuesday January 12th I had a section of facia blown off of the front of my home. I have had issues in the past with finding someone to come out and perform small repair jobs. I had no issue this time. I accessed HomeAdvisor to locate any possible contractors in my area and StormGuard came up. I planned to call them the next morning but that wasn't necessary. They contacted me first. I've never experienced that before! Anyway I told the representative my issue and the fascia was repaired within 4 days! No run arounds. No "no call no show". In short they remained in contact with me daily, showed up, did what they said they could do, and the problem is solved. Customer oriented with promised service. Based on my first experience with them, I recommend StormGuard. Thank you!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is typically an area where our consultant would have to visit the property and survey the damage in order to assess a quote. Otherwise, if it's a situation where no material is needed and we can make the necessary repairs on the initial service call, a $75 minimum fee is charged. If the work involves a lengthier time frame or repeat visit, we will discuss pricing options with the homeowner at that time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our professionals at Storm Guard will take the time to educate the homeowner on the options they have concerning how any repairs/replacements may be paid depending if insurance is a viable alternative. A consultant would then visit the property to take pictures and survey the damage reported. At that time, we'd advise the homeowner on the decision to either file a claim or put a reasonable quote together for the needed repairs. This is done by putting the homeowners best interests in mind!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Storm Guard uses some of the most experienced crews in the city when it comes to repairs or replacements of roofs, gutters, siding or paint. The sales manager of Storm Guard is HAAG certified, which adds instant credibility when inspecting your property for any storm damage that can result in filing a claim with your insurance company to recover any losses you may have suffered.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a staunch supporter of great customer service, I have been involved in this field for the past 20+ years. I've always had a strong desire to help customers in situations that could be difficult for them to understand and make them feel comfortable with the results of their decisions. In an industry known for some shady practices, I strive to be the epitome of success when it comes to achieving results in an ethical and moral manner! Our focus is on doing what is in the homeowners best interest.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We deal with residential customers primarily, although, we have worked with commercial property dealing with multi-family projects. Churches, schools, apartment complexes and condominiums are all part of our repertoire of projects that we can complete.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Most of our projects include full roof replacement that involve an insurance claims process with out-of-pocket expenses being reduced to just the deductible for the homeowner. In one instance, the homeowner took the monies received from insurance and upgraded to a black metal roof which took approximately a week to install. It looks awesome and the customer has been a great referral for us and contact for other homeowners looking at a metal roof as an option for replacement. Any other shingle applications can be done in as little as 1-3 days depending on the magnitude of the scope.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure to hire local! Do your due diligence and make sure to check recent reviews. Just because a firm had positive reviews from years ago does not always make them the best choice in the present. BBB is a good litmus test for the way a company might be trending with the public. Also, call the referrals that each contractor should have listed for you to reach via phone or email. Customer service and reputation is very important in this industry and you want to make sure you trust the individual and company you decide to do business with

Is this a repair or replacement that can be covered through an insurance claims process before I decide to spend money? Do I trust this company to be transparent and quote me an honest price? If I should have any issues with the work in the future, will this company give me a 5 year gold star warranty on the work performed?
