FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Many of our services are part of packages we offer at a bundled rate. Our preference is to speak to you and determine through your consultation how we can most effectively meet your needs. All pricing is finalized on a case-by-case basis, and open to military and VIP discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New authors can be overwhelmed by all that is required when publishing a book. While many literary agents work with a large volume of clients, Captive Ink Media only focuses on three clients at a time. We are dedicated to working closely with our clients and sharing the knowledge and expertise that have made ourselves and our clients successful. We will be with you every step of the way - from concept to marketplace and beyond. For a budding author, publication changes your life in more ways than you may realize. Your work represents you, as an expert, advocate and an individual with a powerful story. It is not only about getting your name in print, it is about changing countless lives through sharing experiences, insight, and inspiration. This is the fundamental purpose of Captive Ink Media.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Through my own unique marketing plan, I transformed a self-published book into a serious work garnering national attention and bestseller status (under the pen name Katharine DeBrecht). As an unknown author, I was not only able to bring my book out of obscurity but establish myself as an expert in my field. I have been on every national cable news network numerous times and on over 500 radio shows across the country, repeatedly requested for additional appearances. As a self-syndicated writer, my opinion-editorials have appeared in major newspapers throughout the United States and across the globe. After four books (one of them making it into the goody bags at the Oscars) I decided to work behind the scenes and help clients achieve what I had accomplished. In six years, I generated global exposure for clients, with the virtual value of radio, television and print exposure at over $12 million. My high profile clients have included third-tier presidential candidates, nationally recognized political pundits, authors, inventors and motion picture companies. Although my books are political, I have worked with clients on both sides of the aisle, and am looking forward to working with you.
