Introduction: Courter & Company is a creative design studio founded and operated by Ian Courter.
It was created on the ambition to I) Create lastingly beautiful designs, and II) Arm clients with the creative impetus to accomplish their goals.
I love the act of creating, and leaving the world a more intelligible and beautiful place than it was before. Though I greatly appreciate and enjoy the digital world, almost everything I do begins by hand.

I've been working with Ian on a few book design projects, and he is creative, flexible, and does great work. If you want to be really involved, he will listen to your ideas and work with you; if you want him to take over, he can do that as well. He loves beautifully crafted things and pays close attention to everything from typography to paper choice. I'm grateful to have found him (I was referred by a specialist in the industry). Julie

We used Courter and Company when our regular designer/typesetter was unavailable on short notice. It was a baseball book of stories with some charts, so it was not an easy design, but it was executed beautifully and quickly and at a reasonable price. We will use them again for sure.
