Introduction: Students can come to me for piano and music theory lessons, but I offer to give them guidance about songwriting, performing and some basic information about self-producing. I like to incorporate music history in my lessons because I firmly believe that knowing the context makes the interpretation stronger and the learning process more fun. I have been trained in many genres and have had to break my own classical mold and learn how to incorporate my technique into new materials. I believe students can get a lot of information from me! I am a piano player and singer/songwriter currently based in Concord, NH. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2014, where I majored in Songwriting. Before going to Berklee, I was classically trained at piano for 10 years.

I had a such amazing time working on my piano skills with Katarina. Since I was playing classical piano and I wanted to learn to play some jazz tunes, she could easily connect those two since she can play from classical to jazz and blues music like crazy !!! Take the class with her, you will learn so much!!! Very nice person too.

Katarina has been giving my son piano lessons for over a year now and we couldn't be happier with her. Although she demands a lot from him, she is calm and patient and he has shown great improvement. Since she started working with him he has become more enthusiastic about playing the piano. We highly recommend her.

Katarina is an incredible pianist, singer, and performer. In my time playing with her, she showed a maturity and soul way above her age. Katarina is going to have a long and wonderful career and I would stake my reputation on that.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I ask my students to play something for me, and I always ask them what their favorite music is and why. I like to attend to their own tastes, while introducing them to new things I believe they should be familiar with.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been trained in piano, all together, for 15 years. I worked with many different instructors, and I have a wide knowledge of classical music and technique. At the same time, I have been trained in jazz, funk and other popular genres, and I have had to break my classical mold and learn how to "make peace" between the two kinds of training.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have mostly worked with primary school kids between 7 and 15 years old.
