- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My fees are based on the number of schedules required to complete the return. To me, this is the fairest form of pricing because it does not matter how much you earn, how much of a refund you receive, or any other external factors. You also know what to expect each year and the only time the price changes is when your situation does; so clients already expect to pay more or less when they send me different information from year's past. I haven't raised my prices in 10 years for this reason.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically an initial phone call to ascertain what the client's situation is and what their needs are. I also determine what their comfort level is with calls, texts, emails, faxing, scanning, etc so I can make the process as easy as possible for them. I will then send them either an email listing what I need, forms and/or simple checklists to help them organize their documents for me. Once I receive their information, I enter all data and make a list of questions that I send all at once so they have time to gather the additional figures or research my questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelors in Business Management, extensive experience running and managing major contacts and negotiations in the Corporate arena. Once I realized that Corporate America was not my forte, I started my own business. I am certified as an RTRP with the IRS and meet the continuing education requirements each year to stay current with tax law changes.
