FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a standard pricing structure. It is dependent on the type of engagement asking for the service as well as the distance of travel and total time of the speech.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Find out what theme is. 2. Double check to make sure I fully understand what client wants to accomplish from speaking event. 3. Create a speech highlighting why it is important, how to achieve it, and what achieving it will mean personally to each member of the group. 4. Double check major speaking points to client to make sure we are on the same page. 5. Give a great talk!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and History from Tufts University. I use this background to research and write my speeches. I have a Master's in Communications from Syracuse University's Newhouse School Of Public Communication. I also spent three years as a television anchor and reporter. These skills have helped me not only be able to perform in front of a crowd, but thrive there. I spent more than a decade as the owner and Head Instructor of a Martial Arts school. Part of my job was to motivate my 300 students daily. I am uniquely qualified to speak on a few topics, including business, bullying and special needs (my younger brother has Down Syndrome and I trained more than two dozen students with special needs including but not limited to cerebral palsy, autism and Down Syndrome). I believe the specific personal traits of focus, positivity and perseverance which were the cornerstones of my martial arts instruction are applicable to nearly every group of people who might be looking for motivational speaking.
