FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
How much does it cost to do stump grinding? There are 5 main factors that can affect the cost of stump grinding. 1. Quantity - how many stumps you have. 2. Height - how tall is the stump off the ground? If the stump is more than 4-6 inches tall, this may increase the price. The lower the stump is, the less time it'll take us to grind it and less mess it'll create for clean up afterwards. 3. Size/Diameter - This is the measurement from one side of the stump to the other at ground level. 4. Access - where the stumps are located in the yard or property and which machine will be used to do the work will also determine price, smaller the machine or more difficult it is to get to the stump will effect final price. 5. Roots/Swell - Some stumps go straight into the ground while others have surface roots going out and away from the base or some have a swell that's around the stump that may need to be ground up along with the stump so that the ground may become level afterwards.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will come out and meet the customer on site and evaluate the property and the stumps that are being requested to be removed. We will discuss with the customer future plans for the areas that are planned for removal so we can perform the work accordingly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While there is no formal education or training specific to stump grinding, our business was formed after working several years for local tree trimmers and running all types of tree service equipment. We have all the required licensing through the state of Ohio, as well as taking all the appropriate training and continuing education through Ohio Utilities Protection Service which is required to be notified prior to any work being done on property.
