I hired D &G to clear out the massive amount of construction debris that had been left over from redoing my retaining wall. Not only were the polite, courteous, and professional, but they are hard working people. The job they took on was probably better suited to a crew, but the husband and wife team powered through it over the course of 2 days, singlehandedly removing over 4 tons of heavy dirt, concrete, and stone chunks. I couldn't be more pleased with the end results, and plan on hiring them again in the future for other projects. Attached are a pair of photos, before and after. I very clearly stated in my Thumbtack project request that the move would be for 20 items from the house into the garage. The company quoted me $125 IN TOTAL (see photo below). In my messages to the company via the Thumbtack app, I outlined all of the furniture items and that I would pay $125 in cash (see photo below). When the job was done I was charged $275 and told that the $125 was a rate per hour. If I had known that the price was per hour I never would have hired the company. Again if it would have been an hours worth of work that would have been the price. No one is moving that much heaven furniture for $125. I even have my prices lowered than anyone. Also when I got there I explained the process to your mom and asked her of she wanted us to stop after the hour so she wouldn’t get charged more and she wanted us to continue . I explained this process when we arrived . And I also still have $100 discount . When you Are asked questions from thumbtack you are suppose to add everything on a here not in a message to get it cheaper. When we got there we do a final estimate because when customers don’t put ALL the information in it comes up cheaper . So when you say it’s ONlY an hour than that’s the estimate . It was over three hours of work.

I was nervous about using junk removal service after reading bad reviews from many trash removal services because so many seem to quote one price and change it. This didn't happen with this company! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We like to set up free estimates . We do a walk through with customers to get an idea of what they would like done , we then type up estimates and email to customer. If customer decides to move forward we get to work!
