FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard pricing schedule which can be found at earnestbee.com/pricing
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I'm hired for envelopes, I love to get an idea of the wedding my clients are planning to make sure that the addressing style will reflect the tone and coordinate with the envelopes. When I'm hired for invitation design, I send out a questionnaire to help get a foundation for the style. We sit down with my client either in person or over Skype and review the desired end product and budget guidelines. Sometimes clients have a specific idea and sometimes we work together to create something that reflects their wedding. I can use a photo, the venue or an element from the wedding to create some sketches for ideas. We'll meet up again or email to review the sketches and create a plan for the invitation suite. We also can add other components such as envelope calligraphy, place cards, menus, programs, signage, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I first learned calligraphy over 15 years ago from my great aunt who was a professional calligrapher. I didn't keep up practice through college but picked it back up after college when I got engaged. I started taking classes and seminars on pointed pen and modern calligraphy. I have been creating things as a business since 2015. I really love creating beautiful, unique pieces.
