Thumbtack CustomerDec 19, 2017
As a first time home buyer I was unsure of a lot of things however, Phil was very helpful. He was detailed and provided quality service as to where I now feel more confident going forward. Thanks Phil!Dec 13, 2017Verified
Great experience over all. Everything was explained to me patiently throughout the process so I didn’t miss a beat. I left the home inspection feeling very confident in my understanding of the home.Dec 11, 2017Verified
Phil was wonderful. He spent 2 1/2 hours inspecting a property we were looking at purchasing. He was extremely thorough. He answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease. His report turn around was less than 24 hours, included tons of pictures and was very detailed. We had some follow up questions which we emailed him and which he replied to immediately. We were very happy we decided to hire Phil for our home inspection.Sep 20, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is structure varies. It mostly depends on the size and age of the home but a typical Veriguard inspection for a 2000 sq. ft. house with 3 bed and 1.5 baths is approximately $350. This includes pictures and HD video of findings, inspection report, safety assessment and home maintenance book to understand how each system operates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My process is to make the customer feel at ease. I try to put myself in their shoes and understand all the different scheduling timelines and contractors needed to get through the real estate buying process. I take the time needed to understand what are their specific concerns and whats important to them and then address their specifics. All homes are different but all customers needs are different as well, that can't be overlooked. By asking important questions like, "Do you have any children or will you be expecting", "Will your parents be visiting and staying with you", "What will this room be used for" and "What are your concerns". This helps to identify unique qualities of their life and needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a B.S. in Sports Facilities Management from Johnson and Wales University/Providence, RI. This has led me have a career in managing, building and constructing commercial kitchens as well as to oversee renovation projects for large commercial office buildings, arenas, stadiums and amphitheaters. I also studied building science and am a proud member of International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (INTERNACHI), American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and New Jersey Association of Licensed Professional Home Inspectors (NJ-ALPHI). I inspect for top insurance companies by providing information to underwriters, which led me to develop an eye to see houses through the insurance view, this is useful when determining risk. I'm a certified radon technician with NJDEP, licensed to measure radon in buildings.
