- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I started my own company because of what I learned about the garage door industry. so much of this industry is bad. they say they can fix your door. maybe they give you an estimate but when they come to your house the price just tripled. they say your rollers are bad because theres a black mark on the track. truth is sometimes the roller might leave a drag mark that doesn't mean you need new rollers. if you do find a broken roller, you only need to replace that one. sometimes new rollers are needed. we give the first 2 rollers free. a set of 10 rollers cost 6.50 plus install. be aware of the tune up roller scams( garage door rollers and tune special 99.00) they are coming to upsell
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
when you call us we will set up an appointment to come service your door. great news is we Dont charge a service call fee ( why would a company have to charge you a service call fee to tell you what you already know "YOUR GARAGE DOOR IS BROKEN" ) they do this because they are gonna quote you a price that will make your jaw drop to the floor. ( another scam of the industry) here's an example- you have a broken spring 300+ but you dont have to pay the service call fee. still to expensive how about a coupon maybe a discount. those to springs cost a big company maybe 10.00 per spring (truth) we pay 21.00 per spring a spring job should be 200.00 for a metaldoor 225.00 for a wood door
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
the truth about garage door repair is that you dont need a lisence and there is no training course for the industry. so when a company says they have lisence, they mean they have a business lisence to pay taxes. the only training that the big companies or the door slingers do for training is to figure out how to sell you products or new doors that you dont need we heard from a friend who worked for one the the big companies that they pay a sales consultant to teach their worker to sell product. at aaa garage door techs and garage door wizards we train to fix your door. we will never say you need a new door until we've tried to fix it first and if we fail to fix your door you dont pay us a dime and then we say "YOU NEED A NEW DOOR"( this is the number one saying in the industry)
