- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Some projects can easily be quoted over the phone while others should be inspected before hand. The type of project that can be quoted over the phone are typically general pest control(ants in the yard, wasp nest on the home, spiders in the house), and mosquito work. The type of project that requires more information to get a proper quote are termite and rodent infestations. Please be careful of other companies that quote this without looking at your home first.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In my field there are three levels of experience. First you become an apprentice. At this level you can assist as you learn. Next, take state tests to become a technician. With this license you can do pest control work (on your own) under the supervision of the company you work for. The highest standard in my industry is a Certified Applicator (more tests). I have a Certified Applicator license. I am proud to have this license. I am able to use the knowledge I've learned to take care of my customers.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have been doing pest, termite and rodent control since 2002. I have met with all types of people. I've even been scared a few times. Most often, people are genuinely kind and a little bit stressed about the pest problem. I understand my position and will be compassionate about your situation.
