FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For recording prices, the price varies according to the project. If the project is edit, mix, or mastering intensive the price would increase consistent to the session's additional work. The good thing is that negotiating prices for the client's best interest is what we pride ourselves on. Professional quality recording, mixing, and mastering at a low comparable price. Every project is negotiated with the client regarding price and no project will ever be priced disproportionately to client's budget and project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to have an in-person/phone call conversation with the client to acquire all information necessary to the project. What the customer is looking? When they are anticipating a good booking time? What type of project they are interested in working on? Any and all composition details? Etc. After this conversation has been concluded I then schedule a good time for the client and I to move forward on the project. Once a time is agreed upon the project may begin. For recording services I either travel to the client or the client travel to my studio and we would begin the recording process. I have the session ready to go with all relative tracks and instruments up and ready to record. Once the recording process is completed, depending on the clients desired options, I continue to edit, mix, and master the project as needed. After the project is complete I hand the final product to the client in any format the client would like to receive the project on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Audio Production. I have been trained in an educational and professional environment through my work at Starstruck Studios in Nashville. Here I worked with some of the industry's best engineers. I have also taught piano, guitar, bass and banjo at Forrest York Guitars for two years.
