She was right on time, worked her heart out, and made every room she touched shine like new. We have already booked her for a second house cleaning. UPDATE: I wanted to rate Cara as less than average because after she returned for the second cleaning when just our son was home, a. Faucets had brown crud around bases b. Some rooms vacuumed, some not. Same with dusting. c. Laminate must have been cleaned with something that smeared and looked terrible the second it was walked on d. The dresser in the master bedroom and stained glass lamp were not dusted. My husband ended up doing it himself! This last one was mystifying, until I noticed two 1/4 to 1/2 inch square symmetrical dents (holes) about 2 inches apart in the freshly painted drywall next to the dresser. I was supervising the painter in that area previously and know he did not do it and no one in my family did it. Something hit the wall when you started to clean that area and made the holes. Accidents happen-no big deal. But a professional admits when they make a mistake and make it right. Is it because we did not give you a tip when you left after the first cleaning?

If I could post NO stars, I would. Absolutely DO NOT hire this cleaner, Cara Crum. I recently made the mistake of hiring her to clean our empty house for a renter, paid her $200 and asked her to clean as much as possible. She stayed at our house for over 6 hours, and from what I can tell, did little to nothing. First off, she put Comet or a similar product on our black ceramic stovetop, ruining it. She left a white chalky paste on the stove and scrubbed off all the lettering on the dials. Other than that, I am not really sure what she did. Keep in mind that this was an EMPTY house. No surfaces were cleaned - not the kitchen counters, the mantle, the staircase bannister....nothing. The hardwood floors were filthy. The bathrooms (including toilets, tile, sinks) not touched. She left a pile of swept dirt on the floor in the master closet. I am not kidding - I essentially paid $200 to have this person destroy my stove. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, hire this person. She is a crook.

Cara and I worked together an entire day to clean my empty new home, top to bottom. She did an excellent job, was very nice and thorough with her cleaning. I would consider her for future jobs if needed.
