We were new the Richmond area and recently purchased a historic home with its original plaster. Unfortunately, we had water damage to one of the bedrooms which totally destroyed the ceiling and a portion of one wall. It was important to us to uphold the historic integrity and architecture of the home, so I did some significant research and finally selected David Pollard with Colonial Plaster Restoration. David thoroughly explained the complete process, was extremely professional, and his work is exceptional. David removed the electrical fixtures, dried the underlying area from the water damage, restored the underlying wooden laths, installed a reinforcement material, and plastered the entire ceiling and portion of the walls to the identical period of the home. Dave also repainted the entire room to the same color (white ceiling and antique blue walls) and reinstalled all electrical fixtures. I highly recommend Colonial Plaster Restoration; David is a true professional and we could not be more satisfied with this exceptional craftsmanship.

We tore out the 35+ year old tub and surround and replaced it. Colonial Plaster not only replaced the drywall we had to remove, they also did a beautiful repair job to the remainder of the damaged drywall in the room. They were quick, polite, and beat the other companies on price. A huge win for us in finding them!

I had a leak resulting in a very wet and unsightly plaster wall. After advising me on how to dry out the wall, David came over multiple times to check whether the wall was dry enough to repair. He was tireless. Colonial Plaster then repaired and painted the wall. They were very knowledgeable about working in an historic building and did excellent work. I appreciate their very high level of expertise and attention to detail. They also left the work area spotless and accomodated my schedule.
