FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like for my clients to send me pictures of their project and what they hope it to look like or pictures of their inspiration. I always say, if someone says the word dog, both you and I are envisioning our own dog. Both really are dogs, but this is not an accurate way of communicating what something looks like or what we want things to look like. Pictures are worth a thousand words.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors in Fine Art in Studio Arts Bachelors in Art Education Minor in Art History 25 years making and fixing things 4 years experience painting furniture
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to school for a long time for art. I work at a store who sells chalk paint to get through college. I took a $100 workshop to teach me how to use the paint. After painting furniture with all different kinds of paint and in many styles for the store, someone came in and told me they wanted me to paint their cabinets. I tried it out and they turned out awesome. I never looked back since. Now, I am frequently asked to paint all kinds of things.
