My session with Amanda was terrific. We spent nearly 5 hours going through all of my clothes. All of them. Amanda is so easy to work with - a true professional. She has a great eye for the details. She had a nice way of letting you get to your own decision about the item, yet when needed she helped you see when an article had outlived it's useful life. Sometimes you just cannot see your own possessions clearly, and Amanda brings an objective perspective to your life. In advance, I thought this would be a bit tedious to do and I hesitated to spend time doing this when my time is in such short supply. I was wrong. The Kon Mari method was easy and the time flew by quickly. The session was actually easier than I had anticipated in terms of "letting stuff go", and in the end the exercise allowed me to be so much more organized with my things. The result was less time looking through all of the clothes I didn't wear and being able to go directly to what I needed. I actually have a few empty drawers, along with a list Amanda put together of core items I need to replace to make my wardrobe work. I would have never done this on my own (even though I thought about it many times). Amanda made this so easy. She will even itemize your donations so you can simply drop off to your favorite donation spot and your paperwork is done. Being open to the idea of a "refresh" and giving a little bit of thought to your wardrobe (or household items, etc.) before your time with Amanda is beneficial to a highly productive session. I highly recommend Amanda, and would hire her again!

Thanks to Indigo Organizing and Amanda's expertise my home is much more organized and less cluttered. She taught me the KonMari method of organizing a home and was there to help every step of the way. We started with clothes, then books, papers I did on my own, then back with Amanda for "komono" and all the random little things that pile up over time. Thanks to our work together I was ready to tackle the most difficult category, sentimental. Amanda made the process less daunting and fun, it was like working on a project with a good friend. I would highly recommend working with her.

Amanda KonMaried my home over the fall of 2016. We live in a smaller than average home for a family of four and don't have a basement to store "extras". She came to us at a time when we were struggling with a new baby and finding time in our daily routine to keep the clutter tsunami at bay. She came in without judgement and met my husband and I right where we were at-she was sensitive to our own needs and didn't push us past our limits for a session. Amanda always came ready with good ideas for storage solutions. At a time when we as a country are realizing that scaling back in life is a key factor to peace and happiness-Amanda's services are a must!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices vary depending on the nature of each project. The number of sessions needed will depend on the size of the home and the scope of the project. You can see all of my packages and rates on my website under Packages & Rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we'll talk on the phone for about 15-30 minutes to get a sense of your needs and to see if we're a great fit for working together. We'll talk about your timeline, budget, goals and priorities. Then we'll schedule our first organizing session, which usually lasts 5 hours.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an executive for 20 years and have my Masters in Business Administration. I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, and I am also a certified KonMari Consultant for the KonMari Method, which was created by NY Times bestselling author and de-cluttering guru, Marie Kondo.
