FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Basic Next Steps... 1. I email prospective clients a PDF price list. 2. I follow up to book the session. If possible, I prefer to do my bookings in person to make sure there is a mutual sense of trust and compatibility. 3. I collect the deposit at the time of booking. For Weddings or other large events, we'll also go over our contractual agreement together at that time. 4. I send a follow up email with a checklist of reminders to best prepare for the shoot. 5. Follow up call 48 to 72 hours before the shoot to confirm. 6. Show up & shoot my heart out! Any remaining balances due day of shoot. 7. Schedule the Reveal... this is where you decide on what images you want. This is typically 2 weeks from shoot date. 8. Deliver final products & enjoy!!! Type of Sessions I typically do... I shoot Day In The Life sessions, 1 Hour Family Documentary sessions, and Family Event Sessions. Now, I'm branching out to doing Senior Portraits, Beauty Sessions, and Weddings. In the Day In The Life sessions, I spend 24 hours with a family and document their life capturing genuine moments as they go throughout their day. In the 1 Hour Family Documentary sessions, I either come to the family's home or we meet on location. We would spend the first 15 minutes taking formal, yet relaxed, family portraits (camera aware) and then the remaining 45 minutes is spent capturing moment driven images (non-camera aware). Various activities are planned out ahead of time and act to facilitate the family to engage with one another to help capture moment driven images. For larger families, we can extend to 1.5 to 2 hr session. Some fun activities ideas to consider for your 1 hour sessions: bikes, kites, balls, bubbles, hobbies, etc. Family Life Event session, such as the birth of a new baby, engagement, wedding, birthday, vacations, etc. are also great sessions to capture great family images and document those momentous events.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began dabbling in photography as a hobby until I began honing my skills and friends and family began to encourage me to take my hobby and turn it into a profession and that's the track I'm on now. I've come to discover that I REALLY REALLY LOVE making beautiful emotionally connected moment driven images. I lost both my parents before I was 30 years old and have very few photographs of them together or even with us kids. I want to create the images that I WISH that I had now to help honor their memory.
