Kevin was pleasant to work with and did show up, on time, had a very nice setup, and our guests did enjoy the food. 1. I was quoted $900 for 30 people. Prior to the event, I texted Kevin with a final headcount of 35. We had 36 show up (3 of whom did not eat, but just stopped by to drop off a graduation gift). I paid $300 for my deposit. Figuring $30/guest, I wrote an $800 check at the time of service to cover my extra guests adequately. I was then told by Kevin (as he was packing to leave) that a). he cooked for 50 (I did not consent to this) and b). I owed another $150, but he would take $100 cash. I paid the $100 cash. Bottom line - $900/30 guests became $1250/35 guests (I paid $1200). 2. I texted Kevin two days later asking for the explanation of the increased charges. His response - "I deposited the check and honestly thought you had given us a tip. The final count was for 35, your husband gave me a check for $300. You gave me a check for $800 which I didn't look at until Monday when I went to the bank. I had thought that you only gave me $600 that's why I said to you it was supposed to be $750 can you give me $100 cash. I assumed that the extra money was a tip". 3. This may have been an unfortunate error in communication, however, when Kevin realized that the check was written for more than he originally thought (realizing that he had asked for the overage in cash) he should have circled back to me to verify the final cost. 4. One of his servers helped himself to our 21+ beverages from the cooler. Again, he did a nice job - please be certain everyone is on the same page when it comes to service costs.

Details: Party host • 50 guests or fewer • Graduation • Food Truck • American (e.g., burgers, hot dogs, BBQ) • Outdoor venue • By host • $16 - $25

Kevin and his team were great and easy to communicate with! They arrived and set up on time with a lot of food of different types; all very good. They were very responsive to our needs and solicited input to get the job done in ways that we thought best. Our event was a graduation BBQ. We would hire Food Service Options again, given the same kind of need.
