FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to first speak on the phone to get further details, and answer questions. The first session can last up to 90 minutes. I explain more about hypnosis to the client, and we discuss specific goals for the session. It is important to include the client's words, feelings, and desired outcome into the hypnosis for greatest effect, so this time is well spent. Hypnosis typically starts with an induction, which induces a state of deep relaxation. After the client is relaxed, we move into the heart of the session where we address the client's goals and provide suggestions to the subconscious mind that will aid the client in reaching their goals. Once the heart of the session is complete, I awaken the client and discuss their experience. Most people find the experience to be amazing! It is an incredibly relaxing experience, and during the session we imagine the most beautiful locations and experiences, like tropical islands, climbing mountains, beautiful lakes, etc. A session of hypnosis can be a mini-vacation for the mind! I love hypnosis - can you tell? 🙂
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 350 hours of training from the award-winning Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. I also have a B.A. with a double major in English and Psychology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was extremely ill two years ago, and spent a year on disability bouncing from hospital to skilled nursing facility to home health. After I returned to health, I was compelled to change my profession to one where I could have a positive impact on people's lives, as my healers had on my life. After researching hypnosis, and realizing how hypnosis could have eased pretty much every aspect of my year of misery, I knew that I had found the tool I needed to improve the lives of my clients.
