First visit- charged $595 for leaky toilet. Said wanted to look at pipes and would come back next day with camera. Next day charged $275 to look at pipes w/ camera. Gave estimate for job to be $1800 to add a clean out. Wanted $900 as deposit to start work. Dug a hole and filled the hole and was on phone w/ boss about needing more equipment to find pipes. NO CLEAN OUT INSTALLED. Said couldn't find pipe and gave a new estimate of $6600 to get the job done correctly. I did not agree and asked for $900 deposit back. NOT GIVEN BACK. Said 'I dug the hole' as justification for keeping $900. Dug a hole where there was NO PIPE. Said the pipes ran to the very corners of the property- 20 feet+ away from building and that a shade structure installed 12 years ago must have damaged the pipe and I didn't have even one week to wait before all my toilets would be backing up. Was not the case. Called Roto Rooter for job. Found pipe and fixed issue for 50% of price quoted. Said anyone who actually ran a camera through the pipes should not have been digging randomly and not finding the pipes since there are locators on the cameras. Said no plumber should ever be digging without KNOWING where the pipes are. No pipes are at the corners of the property and there are no pipes near said shade structure. WORKS FOR CANSTRUCT CONSTUCTION CO. - THAT WAS THE NAME ON ALL THE INVOICES. DO NOT USE THIS CO. Definitely not honest peeps. ;(

I’ve dealt with many plumbers but A1 Plumbing was by far the most affordable and most punctual. He came within an hour and fixed the issue while also outlying potential next steps to mitigate big costs down the road. Affordable and very skilled. I’ll hire him again.
