We have a 200 year old house that offered several challenges for painters. Wooden windows with 18 panes each, masonry, inside and out and difficult to reach places. Five Star painting did a great job estimating, communicating and performing the job. There were several members of the team with which we worked who are worth mentioning by name. The owner, Michael, clearly chose good people who followed through with their jobs. BJ was the person with whom we worked most frequently as a supervisor, he controlled all aspects of the job and personnel. Two of the painters were incredible, Hazel Suarez and Oscar were the most talented painters we have ever seen and no one works harder to get the job done. We are putting out house on the market and thanks to Five Star Painting, we will be ready on time.

I was impressed with Five Star's entire process from preparing the quote, showing up with a skilled cooperative crew on time, management supervision of the project and follow up after completion of the project. It made a dramatic improvement in my home.

The people were very professional and made sure they did the job to suit me. The painter did more than 100% and a little extra and cleaned my grills before he placed them back on the ceiling plus dusted the ceiling fan. He was very curtious.

They re-stained my deck (I didn't do such a good job the first time). They responded right away to my request for an estimate. They were able to do the job shortly after and did an awesome job. I loved that somebody came out afterwards to do a walk through prior to payment. Highly recommend and will definitely use them when it comes time to do my fence.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We use a very consistent, repeatable, and specific process of estimating to determine our charges. After measuring the space to be painted, noting windows, doors, frames, trim elements, etc. we use a software system to calculate the paint and labor. We provide you a free estimate at the end of our first appointment.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule estimates at your home or business. During that appointment, we will discover your goals, take measurements and pictures of your project, and provide you with an itemized estimate before we leave. At the start of every project we walk the job with you to ensure understanding of colors, areas to be painted, etc. When complete, we will perform a "Five Star Walk-through" with you. Only when you are completely satisfied will we accept payment!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are certified by the EPA to perform Lead Paint Renovation and Repainting projects. Project managers have over 20 years managing people and projects. Painters have an average of 20 years experience painting in New Orleans!
