FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The needs of each student are different and my goal is to ultimately empower the student to meet his/ her objectives. The approach we take towards meeting objectives will be determined by whether we are trying to master content or a specific skill. Depending on the subject and age level, the typical process usually begins with assessing a student on he/she executes homework and organizes and prioritizes his/ her planner. If a student is struggling with organization, we start with assessing how to become more a more efficient student. If a student is plenty organized but needs more help on a certain topic, subject, or concept- we will look for multiple approaches that will lead to understanding and mastery of content.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in high school, I asked my teacher what type of career I should pursue. He responded by telling me that his job wasn't to help me find a job, it was to help me find myself. As both a teacher and personal tutor, I find that the most gratifying part of education involves the relationships that I've formed with students. Behind every student is a unique individual who is looking to better himself/ herself and I have the opportunity to equip them with the skills necessary to take on the academic challenges ahead of them.
