Introduction: Educate, evaluate and explore. As a full-time performer, songwriter and recording artist, I have a passion for vocal performance and technique, engaging with the audience, expressing emotion, and exploring new possibilities. Singing should be fun and awesome! Let's be honest you can find vocal warm-ups and exercises on youtube for free. Many vocal coaches post new ones every week for years now. They will all tell you, though, that you will gain much by having a one on one session with a professional. This is so true, because poor practice does not make perfect, and each vocalist has their own unique range, timbre, control, experience level and goals. My goal is to encourage each student’s control of their unique voice, identifying temporary limitations and allowing rapid growth with technique improvement, tracking real progress and learning to nail every performance. I have a great studio set up that I use to record sessions, create customized vocal exercises and instrumental practice tracks, identify the range and even explore vocal recording and production. This allows a singer to hear his/her voice in a new light and hear new possibilities opening the door for even more creativity in vocal delivery. I also send each first-time student home with a few goodies that are small, yet effective secret weapons of the best singers in the word! Oh my goodness - there is so much to say about this woman. Its taken me so long to write this review because there's not just one thing I want to brag about when it comes to Ashley. She is motivating, knowledgeable, focused, and has an incredible ability to teach others how to craft and perfect their own voice. Its one thing when you're a great singer, but its another when you can teach others how to be the best version of what they want to become, and she does just that! Before I met Ashley, I spent my time with two other vocal coaches. Each one taught me how to sing one specific genre of music, which soon became a problem as a continued to find my voice. Many times as a singer, you tend to evolve as you listen to different music in new seasons in your life. And if your teacher can't teach you as you continue grow, how can you craft 'your sound'? With Ashley's experience as a coach, and her broad taste in music, I have been able to sing not only Broadway, and jazz, but pop and rock as well. Most importantly, I've been able to sing with no strain to my voice. She has showed me how to apply the different techniques of singing to each genre of music and make it my own. I've been on a vocal journey with Ashley for about sometime now and my voice has strengthened so much. I've always been a bit of a introvert with a strong desire to want to sing. I spent the first 2 years crafting my sound but most importantly trying to work up the courage to sing in front of people. My fear of singing in public was something that was so hard to overcome but she encouraged me in such a way that I finally gave myself permission. One day, she told me about an open mic night the following week. I was petrified and told her I couldn't do it. She said that if I did this, she would agree to be my backup singer that night. That night turned out to be one of the best EVER!! When I can, I go and do lessons in person but if I run out of time, Skype sessions are amazing!! I can also do a late lesson if it's via Ashley, which is so convenient! Ashley also does emergency audition prep' which is awesome for last minute troubleshooting and really gives me the confidence to go for it! I HIGHLY recommend Ashley as your final stop for a vocal coach. No matter what type of singer you are or how long you've been singing, she will help you become the singer YOU WANT TO BE. Many people can go their whole life and not find what makes them truly happy. I'm so grateful to have found mine, and to have the honor of working with someone who genuinely wants to see me thrive as an artist. Not only is Ashley a great singer but she's an even more incredible person. She is definitely what I believe all vocal coaches should strive to become. THANK YOU ASHLEY. You have helped me find my voice and you have forever changed my life!!

Music has always been therapy for me, I always loved to sing but never had the rush to understand the technique further since I didn't think I was good at it. A month ago I wanted to give myself the benefit of the doubt and started to take lessons with Ashley. It has been one of the best decisions in regards to my personal and even spiritual growth. Sessions with her have been fun, knowledgeable, productive and therapy., it also helps me dream bigger. She made me realize that I can be better and that I can learn, everything that looked complicated to me now looks simpler and achievable, she helped me feel more confident on myself when it comes to singing, and even though I'm a little shy, I don't care to look or sound ridiculous or mess up in order to practice and be better. She is amazing and I truly recommend her.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price is $75 for 60 minutes (but we often go over without additional fees) in order to address each student's unique needs. It includes personalized warm-ups/vocal exercises, and studio recording of our progress. I also provide some products/tools that have helped me as a vocalist over the years.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First session is an evaluation and introduction, including warm ups, exercises, discussion of goals, recording of song of choice, and next steps.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been singing since childhood in choirs and plays, recording original music in studios for over a decade and performing multiple nights per week for over 2 years.
