About this pro
It took a few times for them to come and clean up what they did, but finally did do it, I would say a 90% job.Dec 26, 2017Verified
The team at Intelliturf answered all our questions and were very helpful and patient. They communicated well, keeping me updated on scheduling matters via email and phone. Had to wait a little bit to get on their schedule, but I believe a busy contractor is one that's in demand because they're good. Their price was the best of three quotes I got, and the quality of the work and materials is good (materials made in the USA!).May 2, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Typically, an average residential backyard installation ranges from $7-$10/sq ft. The installations themselves are very labor intensive, requiring site prep that can include scraping away and removal of existing grass/loom. We then haul in several tons of materials to construct a rock road base composed of crushed concrete with a concrete sand top layer, which provides for optimal drainage and overall longevity of the installation. The next step would be to stage, roll, shape and seam the turf itself, which comes manufactured in 15 foot wide rolls. The turf is then infilled with silica sand to about 3 lbs/sq ft to assist in weighing down the installation as well as helping the turf blades stand erect, providing for durability over time. All of the above labor, equipment and materials required to complete a full installation is the reason we like to give a range of the cost per square foot. There are many variables that can affect the final number, and that's why we like to make a complementary site visit before giving the client a final number.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? As we provide complimentary site evaluations, we first like to meet with the potential customer at the job site in order to take accurate measurements, provide turf samples and discuss the vision the customer has for the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We are a nationally supported brand that provides ongoing industry and on-the-job training for all of its locations, including Miami.
