All our guest enjoyed both the sublime fish dish conjured up by Mauricio and well the Beef tenderloin, the salad, roasted vegetables, Caucus and Mascarpone rounded out a very tasty menu. I hired Mauricio for a golf trip dinner with 9 of my friends. We fairly negotiated a price and then chose the menu. Mauricio was professional and very responsive by text. On the evening of the dinner he showed up early and was very accommodating when our timing changed. Of course the best part was the meal! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?No two customers are alike. Our prices are always submitted after an initial talk with the customer. We like getting to know what they are looking for, if they have any allergies or dietary restrictions prior to creating a custom menu just for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Chef Maury has over 10 years of experience as a professional chef. Having graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2008, he has honed his skills in Fine Dining kitchens as well as crafting popup restaurant events throughout Florida in various markets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?We started Casa Lago in Jacksonville Florida because there were no fun places to eat (that we knew of), that featured inventive menus and were a draw for the local community. We hosted our first Chef's Table event to 12 people per night serving a 5 course tasting menu. Every week it would grow and two months later, we were serving 20 covers per night for these private events. It gave people in the community an alternative to the traditional restaurant concept- and the menu kept evolving with the seasons.
