Choose Weston! It's hard to find good help. Weston was great! If you want someone who cares, works as hard as you would and be fair about price, then look no further. These apps and sites are difficult to use because of reliability and I typically don't try to use them, but I'm glad I did. I hired a "reputable" company through a general contractor to put up drywall in two bathrooms and a hallway. They came back 2 times over a span of 5 weeks! and you could still see lines, bad corners and outlets that wouldn't fit. It was inexcusable...unbelievable, really. When Weston saw the work he couldn't believe it. He went over the project with me in thorough detail to make sure we were on the same page, he informed me of any other areas that were of concern that he found and went above and beyond. Since the bathrooms were on opposite sides of the house, he patched two areas (not included in the scope of work) that were visibly damaged from a chair and fixed them, just because he saw them. Although small, quick fixes, it was this type of detail and hard work that showed throughout the project. Needless to say, the walls look like they did before the damage. He worked as long as he had to and got it done right. After living in a hotel for a month and a half and waiting another month for the "reputable" company that we hired to get it close to being right, it was nice to finally find someone who cared and got the job done above expectations. All I can say is thank you.Aug 7, 2016Verified
Mr Rayfield is delightful to work with. He responded to our request for an onsite consultation promptly and professionally. We requested several pieces of furniture to be rehabbed to fit a Florida motif, coming from a New England home. He assured us all of our fairly large pieces would be completed in two weeks and he was able to meet his deadline. His knack of understanding colors and matches were right on our Vision of what we loved. We are anticipating a kitchen makeover next....utilizing His visions after he listened to our likes and dislikes. We highly recommend his expertise and his professionalism. Thanks Weston !!😄😄🌴 ********************************************************************** Project #2 Kitchen Redo: Weston has transformed our kitchen from a small visually enclosed workplace into an open and bright unique workplace. After meeting with us he took our visions while incorporating his unique visions and brought to life a remodel which included a one of a kind island. Using one side of the island he incorporated antique furnishings meeting the "old" with the new. Taking his ideas further he then housed our large and bulky refrigerator into our laundry area, recessing it behind doors opening up further space in the kitchen area. As noted from our first project with Weston we will continue to recommend his expertise and professionalism. 😀😀😀🌴🌴May 18, 2017Verified
I wrote this months ago, "I met with Weston to line up the work and he had several great ideas on how the scope of work could be expanded to create quite a remarkable outcome. We are still in the initial stages of work, but I couldn't be happier working with Weston." Now that the project is finished, "Weston and I agreed on a direction for the kitchen / dining area remodel, but that couldn't be defined precisely until 40 plus year-old walls were demolished and we discovered what we had to work with. Some surprises: conduit and utilities blocking some plans, a support that had to be rebuilt. Weston adjusted the design without expanding the scope significantly. He was very conscious of my budget limitations throughout the project. For example, he found perfect countertops at a vendor who had them in stock for some time and was anxious to move them at a great price. The result: I got a great deal on beautiful countertops that I otherwise could not have afforded. I'll add a before and an after picture rather than going on for 10,000 more words!"Feb 5, 2017VerifiedWeston Rayfield -- RePurposePros's reply
Those are pretty amazing before and after pictures -- I love what we did to your home.
Excited to start our adventure for our remodeling project. More to come. Be back in later with before and after pictures. I hesitated on my review. Decided I didn't want others to be charmed. I agree with Susan's review. This happened to us too. I like my kitchen. Is it my dream kitchen, No!Dec 18, 2017VerifiedWeston Rayfield -- RePurposePros's reply
If you Google kitchen remodel costs in SW Florida you will see that a total remake of a kitchen design average $57,000. This customer was given that option and said she did not have the money. Go to Nancy A. on my profile photos and see the stunning job provide this person for almost half price for that area. Some people want a Cadillac for the price of a Volkswagen.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Redesigning redecorating and repurposing people places and things. Repurposed up-cycling, not often synonymous with the design industry, is the starting point for his process, as you won’t find any typical drawings or portraits scattered about his workspace. For Weston, the beauty of repurpose-up-cycling comes from using an existing space, creation or devise to guide his thought process and to shape his ideas and frame his design. The results are revived, one-off designs that have his signature; whimsical framed artwork, vibrant painted wood, an infusion of space and times, striking designs and delicate patterns that tell a story.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?An award winning artist all his life, Weston attended Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University and spent most of his career in design. As an entrepreneur he has owned several companies, including a printing company and advertising agency which won a national award in 1990 for a business model concept on which Kinko’s/FedEx based its nationwide chain three years later. In 2006 he gave up everything to live his life’s dream, and pursue a five-year sabbatical to publish two books and explore art and design and home improvement. After being self-employed for over 30 years, he now has opened The RePurPosed Punk and is redesigning refinishing and repurposing, people places and things, out of his store located in Naples Florida.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? When I traveled the country with my books and my artwork I found myself in peoples homes hanging artwork they had just bought from me. I could not help but feel, in most cases, that they needed help with design and that the painting they had just bought did not fit their dreary and outdated interior. Finally, I would help by just rearanging the furniture and pictures on the walls -- this soon lead to then asking me to help redecorate and design -- and then paint and colors. After 20 years of helping people for free, and redesigning many of my friends and families homes, I decided to start a design business -- and so now I am 'The RePurposed Punk' -- LOL -- and I love it.
