FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates usually depend on the work required and are decided on a job by job basis. Pickup/delivery is available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For repair work, I like to see what needs to be fixed in person before giving any firm quotes. For a new custom fabrication project, I like to sit down with a prospective customer to go over design constraints and do some cost/benefit analysis to ensure that the customer gets exactly what they are expecting, for a price that is reasonable for both parties. After a rough sketch, I do a 3D model of what was agreed to originally and email this to the customer in a series of PDF's explaining the exact function of each design requirements. After this proof is approved, material is ordered, product is built then shipped/picked up/delivered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While being tasked with running a metal stamping manufacturer for 7 years I spent most of my time, in a hands on fashion, building things that would make production go smoother and repairing machines to avoid more costly repairs. In the time before and during this, I had taken a shine to custom motorcycles and hot rods. I have been designing and building things for over a decade without a single failure to report, from custom brackets to full motorcycle frames.
