Introduction: MJ approaches yoga, fitness and nutrition as an opportunity to find balance in a busy life, cultivate flexibility and strength of body and mind, and reconnect to our innate joy. You can come to my studio, or I can come to you. I specialize in on-site corporate group classes and one-on-one training. I am certified in many modalities and insured. I teach yoga (yin, restorative and vinyasa), personal training, barre, boot camp, meditation, and cycling/spin. I meet you where you are at on your personal journey and help you to find your healthiest self, mind, body and soul. My mission is to inspire and elevate others to live their best life and to fully inhabit, enjoy, and heal their bodies through asana, fitness and meditation.

I've taken yoga classes on and off for almost 20 years as a form of exercise and keeping myself grounded and centered. Melissa is, by far, the most enjoyable instructor I have ever had. She is passionate about the health benefits of yoga, both mind and body, and knows just what to say throughout practice to make you feel glad that you made the effort to come to the mat. She encourages us to celebrate and take care of our bodies, be grateful for what we have, and to put good energy out into the universe for others. Along with all this hippy-dippy sounding stuff, she is joyful, funny, energetic, and plays great music! Her barre classes will kick your butt, but before you know it the class is over and you just toned all your muscles!

Backyard yoga + donuts = best birthday!! Melissa came prepared with a personalized play list to lead a group of about 12 of my friends though an hour of backyard yoga! There was something magical about looking up at the sun dancing in the leaves while listening to my favorite music and following Melissa as she lead us though the poses. The hour was great for beginners and advanced - those that were into setting an intention and those who didn't. Very well balanced - and a super way to celebrate another year!

I have taken various spinning/cycling classes throughout the years, and in the past it was something that I did on occasion. Since last April, I have been taking Melissa’s cycling classes, and I’ve become an avid spinner because of the energy she creates in the classes. Melissa is a great motivator, has terrific music playlists, and she is extremely knowledgeable in her field. I highly recommend her classes to anyone.

I have known MJ over 8 years. I have taken her spin, yoga and bootcamp classes. When I started I couldn't run 1/2 mile. Next month I will run a 50k. When I started I didn't last long on a trampoline now I have movie stunt credits. I'm not saying she will turn you into a stunt person but she will get you to a better place.
