FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My recording rate is $30/hour and my mixing/mastering rate is on a project to project basis according to session size, complexity, length, edits, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If I'm working with a new customer, I find it helpful to schedule a brief "tour" of the studio so that the client can get a feel for the space of the recording environment, check out the gear and sit down to briefly discuss the goals of their project and any "nuts and bolts" questions they may have about the recording process, scheduling, rates, etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've played music for most of my life and I wasn't happy with an of my experiences going into studios to work with engineers, so I built my own. My number one goal is to make the artist happy and most of the time that centers on helping them realize their artistic goals in whatever way possible. That's the part I love about my job - the human element.
