Janice Thepsi Piano Lessons

Introduction: With 11 years of experience as an educator (since 2005) and 29 years as a piano player (since 1987), I am dedicated to teaching piano to students of all abilities and ages. I have taught piano to a 2- and 3-year-old, an 83-year old senior, children with learning disabilities, autism, and even a man with a severe physical disability in both hands. I have studied, and continue to learn with more than 4 excellent classical, pop and jazz piano teachers, who have become my role models. I have a California Teaching Credential for students with mild/moderate disabilities, and have taught piano privately, starting off as a side business in 2013. I have a practical method of teaching students to reach their full potentials. I have been teaching at my home studio in Montclair, and now teach online through Zoom, FaceTime, or Facebook messenger. I enjoy seeing the light bulbs go off, and seeing students get excited about learning, practicing and performing. I constantly learn from my students how to improve my teaching. I am a piano teacher/ pianist for as long as my fingers and brain allow. It is my absolute pleasure to teach piano (and it's great that they pay me for it too!)
