My wife and I decided to add A/C to our 4-year-old home. We met with, and received quotes from, seven A/C vendors. We even saw samples of the work of several of them. In the end, we chose Hanson Mechanical, and have been very satisfied ever since.
We are life-long do-it-yourselfers that focus on quality. We rarely hire workmen for anything. Most of the time we must, we end up disappointed. So when we hire someone, we watch them work and inspect the results. We pick their brains to 1) ensure they know what they're talking about, and 2) learn what we can. Despite applying this abuse to Dale, he delivered quality, born of attention to detail.
Our home builder installed duct work that was worse than a snake pit. Dale made needed changes to improve air flow and deliver cool air that we're finding a blessing during the heat of this summer. For a time, photos of our duct work (before and after) was on his website ... because the "before" was so bad, and the "after" was so good. The transformation was amazing.
Three of my immediate neighbors had units installed by prominent, recognizable name regional companies. After inspecting their work, it was obvious most companies focus on selling, not delivering. They appear to invest a lot more time and money in fancy logos, pretty trucks, and glossy handouts than training their crews how to deliver quality HVAC installations. In fact, one neighbor had the same unit we ended up purchasing, and it was installed with the wrong side facing the house. To service the unit, they'd have to rotate the condenser unit 90 degrees to get access. How do I know? Easy, I read
We chose Dale because he answered all of our questions intelligently with a high level of integrity. His was not the lowest bid ... nor the highest. But my wife and I still agree after three years, that using Hanson Mechanical was one of the best decisions we've made as homeowners.
For us, the result has been a flawlessly working A/C unit, along with the elimination of uneven temperatures (cold spots) around our house in winter.
How can it get any better? Here's how: he even cleans up his mess nicely.

Dale is a hidden gem in the Mechanical contractors business. With jobs like this it's about crossing you t's and dotting your i's and getting the job 100% completed correctly, not leaving a bunch of loose ends. To say the least Dale's quality of work is extremely professional and above average, he responded with a call back the day meaning he did not leave me hanging and wondering if he got my text's or phone messages, also his hourly rate is below the average for the area, as far as punctuality goes he showed up on time exactly as we discussed each time. He even calls to tell you he is en route from the job before you. Actually I thought he did such a great job the I gave him a bonus, because I support small business's like his, and feel people with his skill set and go getter attitudes deserve it.
