DJ Freaq is sweet and talented. He really heard what we needed and made it special for my daughter's sweet 16. You should definitely use him for your next venue. He even helpeddecorate and clean up after the event. He went above and beyond expectation.Oct 9, 2018Verified
He's one of the few DJs I've hired that have gone out of their way to play pop or rap songs that come out around 2 days before the party. He also knew which ones were being overdone for the time and came back to songs that were made a year ago when they were off of the radio. I think it's really cool how he sorta balances his music like that when playing.May 11, 2018
I've actually hired him twice in person. Micah has been pretty reasonable with pricing and went out of his way to explain that he only charges for what he needs, such as the cost of new lighting or fog refills which is a really cool thing to do. A lot of other DJs I've talked to will charge around $500 or more for a 2 hour party and even though they have their own equipment, it's a waste. Micah has brought some really cool looking gear and was modest about it as well. That says a lot for me.May 11, 2018
Micah was terrific and helped me with playlists and YouTube streaming video for my party. He's very technical and flexible and will work with you any way he can. My party turned out very well considering we had "Florence" bearing down on us.Sep 18, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I require half the quote up-front, up to $100 for events under 6hrs. This is how I keep clients accountable. This means that 1 hour (house parties) would be $25 down, up to day-long events topping off at $250, even if the charge runs a total of $1,500. For new clients, I like to keep my pricing afforadable so that I may continue to develop my brand. For returning clients, I discount at 20% within 3 months. If you have my card, the same discount applies as thanks for reaching out!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Crowd preference, song selection, equipment. These three things are vital to making sure you're happy, your guests are happy, and I am prepared to perform for a few hours at a time. As for equipment, I own a speaker cabinet with four 10" subwoofers. I own a PA and mic for kareoke or MC service, but I strongly suggest you have an event program/plan that we may discuss if you need MC services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am familiar with setting up your iPad to do computer programmed mixes if you A. have not planned what music I'll need to be working with B. need more of an event planner/MC . I have a developing understanding of light programming for if you want dancing lights and all that jazz.
