FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This is the tricky part. I want you to be comfortable with what we're doing. Scripts are a huge undertaking, so the price depends on the job and where you are in your process! I can read through what you've got and give you initial thoughts for $150. If you like what you're hearing--even if it's tough to hear-- we can go from there. Ghostwriting is a bigger undertaking, but we can talk about it if you're serious. Be ready to invest at least $3000 for a pilot, $6000 for a screenplay. I have price packages for copy, but emails are generally $250, product descriptions $200 and blog posts are .15/word. I can write your speech for $150-$500 depending on the length of the speech and how much, if any, research I need to do. All payments are to be made half upfront and half upon completion. All prices depend on where you are in your process and how long the project will be! Let's talk about keeping it within your budget!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to understand where a customer is in their process of writing. We talk through what their vision is and then go through my process of helping. I always want lines of communication to be open. If you don't understand a note, change or comment--ask!!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have real world experience which can, most times, teach you more than classes. I've sold five movies that were produced and aired. I used to write and produce murder mystery dinner theater. I've written and performed stand up in Los Angeles for years. I am a Toastmaster's National Champion, having written my own speech. I belong to several groups and clubs. I've taken several MasterClasses. I also just love to write, I do it all day, everyday.
