Since beginning in Morgan Hill more than 10 years ago, D. D. has come to play a bigger role in the music community than just a guitar and piano instructor. His role has grown because he gets involved with local bands and with players from all over. The more people he meets and musicians he interacts with the more he learns - which allows him to be a better teacher and mentor. No matter how long D. D. plays guitar and how many students he helps, D. D. is always learning too. That's the real beauty of playing music - it is a journey and not a destination and one he really loves being a part of.

I saw D. D. Dupre's page on face book, I did some research and called him. First meeting I explained I'm self taught and he asked me to show him what I could do. We discussed what I wanted, we setup a schedule and I just completed my second month looking forward to carrying on. He is patient and reassuring, I'm happy with my choice and I would make it again.

Guitar teacher: I've been with Dan for several years now, on and off. I've had several teachers before, and he is by far, the finest. He is able to communicate where most teachers cannot. He is able to show how to go about the learning process. He would be good for beginners as well as experienced players. I'm sure he is just as good with piano and voice. I started taking guitar lessons from D.D. a couple of months ago and have learned so much from him in the short period of time. He's a great teacher, with a lot of patience. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who's interested in taking up the guitar.
