Introduction: Because I love to teach and I love music! It is such a rewarding experience to teach students something new and watch them learn, grow and achieve their musical goals. I enjoy teaching all levels . . . beginner, intermediate or advanced students and accept students from ages 6 through 18. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I am a classically trained musician with a degree in Education (emphasis in the Arts). I’ve taught at various schools and music studios in Saratoga, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill and San Jose. I currently teach from my Morgan Hill studio where I provide in-person and online lessons. Students learn both classical and modern music. Sight reading, theory and technique are all a part of their curriculum. Students also have the opportunity to participate in two recitals annually.

Our seven-year-old daughter, Valentina, has been receiving piano lessons from Ms. Nancy Edwards for a year. During this time we have seen tremendous growth in Valentina's piano skills and theory development, as well as in her self-confidence. More importantly, Ms. Edwards has nourished Valentina's love for piano, while encouraging her to challenge herself. Ms. Edwards is professional, yet incredibly responsive and patient. Our daughter is a true fan of Ms. Edwards and so are we!

Nancy has been my son's piano teacher for almost 4 years now. She is very patient but yet also encourages my son to get out of his comfort zone. For example, the recitals are not mandatory but she did encourage him to do and my son went from being very shy to now wanting to play multiple songs. She adjust the lessons to meet his skill level and how quickly he is understanding certain concepts. We are really impressed in how far our son has come and I think since Nancy makes it fun for them, he is always eager to learn more.

Mrs. Nancy is an amazing piano instructor and I would recommend her for anyone who's starting new. She personalizes how each lesson is taught making sure that every student can get the most out of what they are learning. The relationship also doesn't feel flat. You're not just a 'student' and she's not just your 'instructor', she makes the experience feel much more colorful while still keeping it feeling professional. As of now, I have been a student of Mrs. Nancy 2.5 years. I starting off, I had little piano knowledge and wasn't even able to read music. But now, I'm in the middle of learning how to play 'Kiss the Rain' by Yiruma.

As an adult student of the piano, Nancy has done an outstanding job of tailoring the lessons to suit how I learn best versus "a method". Her personality and style has allowed me to enjoy learning how to play the piano. Nancy is very good at reading students and finds ways to help them relax and enjoy the lessons. I have had the pleasure of 18 months of lessons and I plan on continuing with Nancy.
