Record and/or transcribe depositions. Confirm the authenticity of signatures on affidavits. A Notary’s powers and duties can be exercised in all counties in the State of TENNESSEE. Service of process is the procedure by which a party to a lawsuit gives an appropriate notice of initial legal action to another party (such as a defendant), so as to enable that person to respond to the proceeding before the court. Notice is furnished by delivering a set of court documents (called "process") to the person to be served. This Service is necessary to ensure that due process of law is upheld in the United States.
