Amber is great, she's been working with my son for close to two months now, he's a rambunctious 4 year old with a attention span that can he be hard to hold for long periods of time :) she's sweet, willing to work with him, indulge his questions and play as well as instruct him on what he needs to learn. I'm optimistic about what Amber will teach him as he continues to grow and learn from her! I highly recommended Amber and her Piano services! Thanks! Rebekah RamosDec 9, 2016Verified
Amber is working with my 3-year-old and doing a great job! My daughter looks forward to her lesson every week, and it's so convenient for her to come to our house!Mar 26, 2017Verified
I've been taking piano lessons from Amber for about 6 months. She has been great at teaching and provides knowledge and resources to help me learn.Mar 24, 2017Verified
Amber is a very patient and through teacher who is well educated in music and child development. She has a genuine love for music which I'm so happy to see is contagious to my kiddos! I have 2 children with special needs and she is the perfect teacher for them! My kids look forward to their music lessons and can't wait to show her what they practiced all week!Mar 5, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is based on a monthly rate of $115/month for weekly 30-minute lessons. If you'd like a longer lesson, let me know and I'm happy to give you a monthly rate for that as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically chat for a few minutes on the phone with a potential student (or parent of a potential student) before meeting them. This allows me to hear more of what you are looking for in a teacher, what your previous experience with the piano may be, and allows you to hear more about my professional background and teaching approach. After this, if you'd like to proceed, you are welcome to schedule a FREE first lesson (30-minutes) so that you can try me out and see if I'm a good fit for you. At that point, if you'd like to sign up for lessons, we review my studio policy and sign it together .
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was trained classically on the piano from ages 8-18, after which point I studied piano performance in college for 2 years, mostly under Dr. Stephen Thomas at CSU Stanislaus. I ended up taking a detour and getting a master's degree in counseling psychology in Seattle in 2013. But my love of music and children eventually drew me back to teaching again! I now work as a part-time therapist and part-time piano teacher and am so grateful for the opportunity to work in both fields.
