Introduction: Oh Joy! Studios has years of experience in providing high-quality photography services for families, newborn, maternity, kids birthday events, engagement sessions, and small intimate weddings. We take pride on our creative and out-of-the-box approach in taking timeless photographs. Our goal is to capture your rawest emotions, sweetest little moments, and most candid laughs that can easily pass you by. Our photography is a perfect blend of candid emotions and classic scenes that you want to hang on your living room wall for a very long time. Pure love, joy, and warmth in a frame. We also provide outstanding customer service for our clients. Some of our clients turn into friends which then turn into family.
Our photography is more than just 1, 2, 3 cheese. When a family or a couple decided to book our studio, we commit our time and full attention to prioritize on these exact two things:
1. We escape. Be it the park, the beach, or even the backyard of your own home…we make it a goal for you just to be with your loved ones. To enjoy each other’s presence and just to get away from the busyness of your everyday lives. Happy people always make the best models! :)
2. We have fun. In our photo sessions, we are always down for some serious fun. Our photographers are jam-packed with kid friendly games that will make your kids forget that it's actually picture day! We'll play running races, tickle monsters, and lots and lots of group hugs! It’s the raw emotions and your family’s explosive laughter that will translate your family's sincere affection into timeless, outstanding photographs. For engagement sessions and weddings, we do a lot of blooper stories of the happy couple, we ask the bridal party to tell inner jokes/secrets of the couple, anything to make us all interact and laugh together. The natural JOY you feel on your big day is what I am shooting for. :)

When I learn that Joy started her photography business, I adore her shots. I think she has that magical touch to make all the babies look so cute and all families look so warm and perfect! We decided to have Joy took our family picture when Tiara turns a month old. Joy was so patient and accommodating as Tiara was not as calm and as easy as newborn baby by 6 weeks old. The photos are definitely worth much to treasure for years to come. Especially when my mom passed away 5 months later, I am so glad that we have our photos professionally taken. Recently, Joy also helped me with Tiara's 1st birthday pictures. Those pictures are so lively. Joy has the eyes that can capture joy, love, and hugs between friends and family. I am so thankful and so happy with all the photos that Joy captured on that day. Over and over I am WOW-ed by Joy's ability to produce photos that are lively. Thank you, Oh Joy Studios! If I could sum up everything I say, it would be, “Her work is as amazing as her personality.” But I guess those words will still underestimate my whole experience with Oh Joy! Studios. When my graduation day was about to come, I was referred to her and intrigued to check her portfolio out. My first impression was, “WOW, she really knows how to capture happiness, warmth, and intimate moments within families!” I also instantly fell in love with the tone of her photographs; it’s bright, cheerful, and so Pinteres-ty – it is so me! Without a doubt, I contacted her and we agreed on time and place to meet on my commencement day. She sent me a couple of her graduation portfolios and asked me beforehand if I had some ideas in mind of how I would like the photos to be. Since I already adore everything about her work so I did not ask much.
On the day, she came on time despite how bad the traffic was. From far away, I could see her warm grin as she approached to hug and congratulated me. She was fun, energetic, and easy going. She made me so comfortable to pose in front of camera. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE candid photos! The fact that she kept up with me and captured the candid laughter and hugs I shared with friends and families without being asked is a huge plus for me. She was also full of ideas – she brought me two bags of confetti as props to blow and the result was beautiful! I asked her whether it was possible to have the result within a week before the graduation excitement died down. She really accommodated my request; I received the final result within three or four days!! I love how she always made sure that I liked everything – the color editing, the brightness, etc. She accommodated my preferences till I love the final result. I cannot thank you enough for bringing so much happiness and joy to my special day! I am beyond satisfied with your work and will definitely recommend you to everyone.

Me and my fiancé had a engagement photo session with Oh Joy! Studios back in November 2016 and we highly recommend this place. Joy is really easy to work with. We plan this session together for almost a month, I told her my concept and what i want. She is very friendly - that make us feel very comfortable during the 2 hours photo session. She exceed my expectations and the results is beyond what we expected and all of my friends and family love the picture. and all of my friends and family love the picture.

" Joy was exceptionally good to work with and genuinely excited about what she does. She gave more than we had expected, starting from the initial meeting to the final product delivery. Firstly, she met with us to discuss our ideas, location preferences, and special requests, followed by a brainstorming session. A Pinterest mood board was created not only to gather ideas but also to avoid assumptions and miscommunications.
On the day of the photo-shoot, her creativity shines as she directed us how to interact with each other and with the environment around us. The uncomfortable feeling as the bystanders watched us was gone as she instructed us to enjoy each other. True enough, our love chemistry was perfectly captured in the pictures. She came early to scout the location, and she stayed longer to make sure we got the perfect pictures. She was even more energetic and excited than us. Her passion was expressed in her hardworking attitude and her pursue of excellence. As a mother of three, it is practically impossible to do another side job, yet she stayed up past midnight just to work on our photos. Every time she finished a batch, she sent us a message to check out the pictures and the results are ASTOUNDING, like a scene from a movie. I can’t thank you enough to Joy, not only for her photos, but also for her passion.

We LOVE our family and maternity pictures! Words can't really describe how beautiful and meaningful your work is. Growing up, my family only have one formal family picture that I can remember hanged on our living room wall. I vowed to myself to ALWAYS capture our time growing up with our kids, because time doesn't turn back. Our family had so much fun photographed by you. The kids loved you instantly, you are very personal and natural with the kids! You make it so easy and natural for us to pose in front of the camera. I LOVE our recent newborn photos with baby Emma!
