When my husband and I bought a house this summer, we had a bunch of electrical work to do; upgrading the main panel, installing dimmable can lights, exterior lights, etc. I got almost half a dozen estimates before we went with Robert. He was very affordable, and even better, he made suggestions as to how we could get the effect we wanted for less money. Lots of places will try to upsell you on everything, but Robert got our budget concerns and worked with us. He is transparent and honest, he was always punctual and very easy to get in touch with. Most importantly, his work turned out beautifully and his quality is exactly what we had hoped to get! I would not hesitate to recommend Design Plus to anyone

This past Thursday February 4th 2016 I was searching for an electrician to install a new electric heater in my Garage that needed to be hardwired. It came with no wires and no plug. Robert Brooks the owner of Brooks Electric and Construction was not only the first to respond to my search on Thumbtack but he actually came out that evening after finishing work for the day and gave me a free quote.
I know little about electrical. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and diagnosed the situation very quickly and voluntarily explained every aspect of the job that needed to be done and gave me a quick thorough electrical education. He then gave me a verbal estimate that turned out to be lower than other estimates. But when he emailed me the estimate it was even lower.
He also told me that he could install in two days on Saturday February 6th. He said to help me out with this cold weather he could install it early Saturday morning, TODAY, before he went to work at one of his current projects in Franklin, TN. So I hired him!
Not only did it take him less than an hour to install it he actually added a plug outlet (it was set up just to be hardwired) so I could easily unplug it if I ever wanted it moved or if it needed maintenance or to be returned.
And before he installed it he explained the exact process of what he was about to do. He even put a higher gauge wire cable and higher amp breaker than was required just as a extra safety precaution.
And to my great satisfaction my garage gets warmer than the house now.
All I can say is that it was a great experience of World Class Service and professionalism that you would never expect from any contractor. He is earned my future business and I will call him first if I even need him and highly recommend him to all my friends and family. He was a pleasure to work with and saved me time and money while provided very high quality work. I will definitely give anyone a verbal recommendation for Brooks Electric and Construction if you would like to call or text me and answer any questions.

I had a lot of electrical work to be done, but didn't think I could afford to do it all. Robert gave me a quote for each item separately so that I could do it in segments. He arrived on time for his appointments and was fast on the job. He also was able to do some small repairs around the house for me as well. I will continue to have Robert do all of my projects until they are all done.
