Garret Schmidt Videography & Photography
About this pro
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Garret. He not only arrived early but he did his research on my previous events before he arrived. He captured wonderful moments and was kind to everyone, my volunteers and the guests. I had many people come up to me during the event telling me what a nice guy he was! I could not have asked for a better experience and would recommend him in a heart beat!May 22, 2018Verified
Very professional and kind. I ended up having to a different route only cause if logistics on my end, but I would highly recommend!May 18, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I value my time very highly, so I don't put an hourly rate on any project. I generally have a good sense of how long projects take to complete. For example, if a customer decides they want prints after receiving digital copies, there would be an extra charge for that. Or if I'm editing a video and the customer makes changes, I bill accordingly. I always consult with my clients before I do any additional work that may increase the cost of a project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to ask them specific questions about the job. How many people will be in the photo? What location do you have in mind for the shoot? I like to ask my customers if they have any ideas for photos, just to get more input. It's good to ask these basic but important questions before any event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My degree is in broadcast communication. I've had several positions in television and radio over the years. Video and photography work have always been a passion of mine. There's always been a camera in my hand, ready to capture the unexpected!
