FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, I use different pricing structures depending on size, scope, and services provided. Generally, 50% of the cost up front, with balance due upon completion prior to delivery. Cash or checks only.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally a customer comes to me with an idea or some inspiration photos of pieces they find on the internet. After an initial consultation during which I get a feel for what they are looking for, I provide them with a set of drawings detailing exactly what they will be getting. From there the project moves through production, finishing, and finally to installation. All the while the client is kept up to date with progress photos and visits to the shop if desired.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the building design and construction industry in many different capacities for over 15 years. Started at the bottom as a carpenters helper framing homes at the age of 16. Received a degree in architecture and designed residential architecture in NYC. Project manager for a custom high end cabinet shop. And many, other construction related positions over the years.
