- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unfortunately with such a wide area of work that we cover setting a price in stone just isn't feasible. Some are by square footage. Some are daily rates. Creative freedom requires the client stating the number and the contractor to do the rest. We have to respectfully decline work with owner supplied material. It costs both of us more time and money in the end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process may very depending on the scope of work. Major structural is a process. Consultant fees may apply to aquire an architect. Simpler jobs that don't require a permit can range from a one time site measurement and a free quote to possibly 3-4 more phone calls and meetings to make sure you get what you want.
