FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a standard pricing system for my service. I come to an agreement on each individual project because they tend to be so diverse.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When it comes to songwriting, no project is the same. The most important thing is to listen to the customer and see what they want, how quickly they want it done, and for what purpose. When I work with a new customer, I like to talk to them about their lives and create a connection before we cowrite or talk about a project. Talking about their lives gives me a better idea of what they are looking for as an end result.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied songwriting at Interlochen Academy for the Arts. The singer/songwriter program is extremely selective and chose only 34 songwriters out of all the submissions which spanned the world. I met people from across the United States and even from countries like Brazil and Spain. While at Interlochen, I honed in on writing from prompts, working in time crunches, and cowriting. Well known artists who also went to Interlochen include new pop star, Daya (she went to the same camp session as I did), Sufjan Stevens, Norah Jones, and Josh Groban.
