Peg Leg Porker responded to our Thumbtack request with a personal note indicating familiarity with our rehearsal picnic location. Heather, their catering manager, was well informed to work with us offering advice when asked. She was available during the four month waiting period to answer additional questions. The set up was on time, the food was FABULOUS (providing a great topic of conversation beyond the engaged couple). Heather and Christopher served us well without intruding on the joy of the evening. They cleaned up quietly but only after waiting until there was a lull in the activities that wouldn't interfere with the anecdotes being shared. I contacted Thumbtack to get a quote for a wedding caterer for my daughter's wedding. Peg Leg Porker were not only the most reasonable for a party of our size but, very accommodating as I had to add to the number of guests within the last 2 weeks. Heather was fantastic to work with and the young lady (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name) that delivered was very sweet and efficient in the delivery and set up process. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Delivery drop off platters start at $10 per person and can go upwards with additions. Full service catering starts at $16 and can go up to $40 depending on menu. Picking up catering is a discounted ala carte menu.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically go over all the different options and find which suits them best. I take down all their information, send them a quote. Follow up within 72 hours and once booked they receive a copy of the order and a reminder about the order 24 hours before.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachalors in Hospitality Management. I've worked in in the hospitality industry in a management role for 7 years and catering for 5 years.
